Lorna Foster, MD

Dr. Lorna Foster is a Board Certified General Pediatrician who has been in practice for the past 24 years. Dr. Foster grew up in Miami, Florida where, through the influence of her Bahamian heritage and strong family educational background, she was inspired. From a very young age, an interest in following in the footsteps of her own childhood pediatrician was expressed.

Dr. Foster received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Michigan State University and her Medical Degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Foster would go on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Health Systems. Ensuing was a career caring for children in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, as well as the medically underserved in Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Dr. Foster’s joy, aside from the privilege of working with families to ensure optimal health and well-being for children, is raising her now adolescent son. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano. She is a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and recently became a Deaconess Missionary through her church. In the near future, she desires to travel more extensively. Dr. Foster is caring for patients at the 365 Day Pediatric Care Center Jacksonville Beach location.
