Community Involvement

Jacksonville is More Than Where We Work - It's Where We Live!

At 365 Day Pediatric Care Centers, the Jacksonville area isn’t just where we work – it’s also the place we proudly call home. It’s where we live, go to school, raise our children, and all the other interactions big and small that make a city a thriving community.

So don’t be surprised if you see us while you’re out and about shopping, picking your kids up from school, or just relaxing with your family at the beach or one of Jacksonville’s beautiful parks. And if you do see us, don’t forget to say hello!

Supporting Our Jacksonville Community

Outreach & Education

We believe in supporting our community and are active participants in many local services and events including:

  • Annual Diaper Drive: Working with The Diaper Bank for Northeast Florida, we help provide diapers to families in need. Last year our team helped distribute more than 5,000 diapers in our community!
  • Monthly Awareness: Every Friday our staff wears a ribbon and shirt to reflect the monthly awareness campaign.
  • Habitat for Humanity: (known as HabiJax) has provided affordable home ownership, through new and rehabbed homes, to over 2,300 families in communities around the urban core of Jacksonville.

Working Locally to Give Back Globally

Bright Eyes Uganda

Bright Eyes Uganda grew out of a friendship between Dr. Benitez and his parish priest, Father Lawrence Mulinda. The mission of Bright Eyes Uganda is to care for the indigent and underserved populations of Uganda, specifically the children. Our goal is to improve the infrastructure of their rural villages and provide clean water, nutritional food, accessible health care and quality education. We have accomplished these things with the following projects:

  • Built a Woman and Children’s Clinic
  • Built a new school
  • Renovated the community church
  • Built teachers’ homes to bring more qualified teachers to the area
  • Serve a hot lunch every school day for the 750 schoolchildren
  • Built a convent to bring religious sisters to work in the school and clinic
  • Placed 26 Water Collection tanks throughout the community
  • Placed Solar Panels on the clinic with a community cell phone charging station
  • Built New School Latrines
