Biography

Dr. Uzochukwu was born and raised in Nigeria. She relocated to the United States to complete her undergraduate degree and further education.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Truman State University; graduating with general honors and a Minor in Business Administration. She then studied Medicine at Duke University, on a full tuition scholarship before going on to complete her Pediatric Residency training at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

After residency, she served as a primary care pediatrician in a medically underserved community of Roswell, New Mexico and then in the thriving metropolitan suburb of Lawrenceville, Georgia before her family relocated to Florida in 2023.

Dr. Uzo is passionate about supporting children by arming their care providers with the tools to confidently care for them at different stages of development. She has specific interests in the care of newborns and in helping introduce and build healthy lifestyle skills at all ages that will sustain children throughout their lives.

She resides in Saint Augustine with her husband and three children. She enjoys cooking Nigerian, American & other international cuisine (and occasionally dabbles in the baking scene). In her spare time, you will likely find her at home with her family, doing life with the women in her church group, listening (& also singing and dancing) to music or keeping fit at the YMCA.

She is a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
